Who is Kasia?

Kasia Wronka (Poland) is a Raqs Sharqi (Bellydance) and Samba teacher and performer, who fell in love with both dance styles in 2006 and continued to study these art forms since then.

Graduate of CATT (Certified Academic Teacher's Training in Berlin), multi award winner (including Sommer Festival Berlin, Ya amar festival Paris, ISBF Leiden, Ahlan wa Sahlan Cairo); winner of casting for Jillina's project: Bellydance Evolution Vienna/Madrid 2013 and *The People's Choice Award. In 2017 Kasia got the title of Musa Acadêmicos do Sossego and she represented the school as soloist at the Sambodromo during the world's most famous dance parade in Rio de Janeiro.

Kasia created many educational projects to promote Arabic culture such as Raqs Academy (2 editions of ambitious programme which includes lectures, choreo projects, coaching and theoretical exam) and Golden Era Project (co organized with Hamsa Dance School), both including educational online gala shows. Owner of Online Dance Academy, director of many dance / video projects (multiple nominations and awards at Raqs Film Fest), organizer of artistic events and shows in Warsaw like From Rio to Cairo with live music shows. Organizer of one of biggest festivals in Poland - Aiwa Ya Negma & Diamonds of Orient (co-organized with Dominika Suchecka) and Fanana Trip to Egypt with live orchestra experience (co-organized with Dominika and Morjana).

For years performing, teaching and judging on many important Polish and international festivals. She has been also developing her passion to work as an individual trainer - successfully coaching, creating choreographies on request and helping dancers (both beginners & professionals) in preparations to competitions in Poland and abroad.

Kasia's Workshop: Straight from Cairo - Shaabi!

27.10. 2024 11:30 - 13:30, SVČ Rýmařov (dance hall will be specified)

We will start the workshop with a brief theoretical introduction about Shaabi and its evolution over time. After that we will learn choreo to the absolutely iconic old shaabi song - Bint el Sultan. Later we will travel in time to see how the music and style evolved - by learning choreo to modern shaabi hit Habibti.

During the workshop we will focus on what is so important while dancing to shaabi music - the feeling, the understanding of the lyrics, the typical gestures that you can use while dancing to shaabi songs and of course the technique too ;)! But most importantly we will have a lot of FUN!

The WS will be held in English language.
It'll be possible to order food for the time between WS.
